The story of Eden Artwork

Greetings and salutations!

My name is Baya and I am an artist from the U.K

I create idyllic landscape paintings in acrylic.

I have been drawing ever since I was little; I loved to doodle and copy illustrations from books. I began painting only a few years ago, when I decided that I wanted art to be my career. After studying the Old Masters and seeing several artists today creating beautiful scenes, I tried to learn from them. I began to paint every day and, like my drawings, I improved through constant practice. My great grandfather was an artist, and I have always been encouraged by my family to keep practicing. With this ecouragement I pursued my dream.

I knew from the beginning that I wanted to paint landscapes, but for a long time I struggled to find my niche. I soon discovered a love for painting mountains, particularly those in the Highlands of Scotland (my ancesters homeland) and Alaska. I never tire of painting mountainous landscapes and will always continue to paint them. However I also paint several places from my home- England. I have painted several English landmarks and I am very proud of my heritage. As someone who loves history, I especially love to paint historic landmarks, such as Stonehenge (also known as the Giant's Dance) and Anne Hathaway's cottage- the home of the wife of my favourite playwrite - William Shakespeare.

More recently I have focused on differnt kinds of scenes. As a devout Christian, I frequently read about the Garden of Eden. Our original home. In a world that is so dark, I find this place of light and perfection to be everything that I long for. Walking with God. The idyllic landscapes, the animals living in harmony with each other, and the pure, innocent people that lived amongst them is everything that I wish our world was like today. I paint scenes of Eden in the hope that people will remember our true purpose- to be peaceful and loving- and to return to that perfect way of life. The figures in my paintings have wings as a sign of our connection to the angelic world, my animals are always peaceful in everything that they do, and my landscapes always idyllic- everything the way it was meant to be.

“As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise You more and more.” – Psalm 71:14
