“This painting portrays Stonehenge set against the backdrop of the wild, overgrown grass of Salisbury Plain, where birds gather around the mossy ancient stones. Known as the Giant's Dance, this stone circle is rooted in Arthurian legend, with its first mention around 1136. According to the tale, Merlin dismantled a stone circle at Mount Killaraus in Ireland, transporting the stones to Wiltshire, where giants were tasked with assembling Stonehenge. I created this piece following a family visit to the iconic site, aiming to convey its mystical allure.”
